“The most beautiful people are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known losses, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.” — Elizabeth Kubler Ros

Unresolved trauma can cause feelings of worthlessness, fear, worry, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression that inevitably interrupt the quality of your life.  These feelings can become a normal part of your day and be the source of unnecessary suffering in your relationships and professional life.  The unresolved trauma reveals itself in many symptoms of dysfunctional behaviors including addiction, problems in relationships, the inability to socialize and connect with others, as well as many other behaviors.

Before becoming a mental health care provider, I also struggled with these feelings in every aspect of my life.  As I worked in therapy to discover the dysfunctional behavior and its origins, I realized it was due to my underlying and unresolved traumas.  Through my own healing process, I realized a passion and a purpose for my life to guide others in uncovering their underlying traumas and guide them towards a more

functional, fulfilling, and happy existence.

My experience includes working with a team of trauma based therapists at a trauma center in Malibu, California, with clients suffering from a full range of dissociative disorders including borderline personality disorder and dissociative identity disorder and in a county mental health setting as part of a triage team of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, doctors, case managers, and other therapists working together to provide mental health support to those in desperate need of services.  In addition, I have experience in substance abuse/dual diagnosis residential treatment. I've been in private practice now for 2 years.
